Milania Giudice refused to leave her best friend’s side during an unimaginable goodbye. Jennifer Aydin is sharing heartbreaking details about what Teresa Giudice’s daughter endured after losing Victoria Zardoya this summer. According to the reality star, Milania remained at the hospital for days as Victoria’s family waited for her organs to be donated. Now, Jennifer is offering an update on the 20-year-old as Teresa keeps her daughter close following a difficult few months.
Jennifer Aydin Shares Details Of Milania Giudice’s Hospital Vigil
Speaking with the Daily Mail, Jennifer described how Milania stayed with Victoria after the accident that claimed her life. “I just know Milania has been through a lot,” she said. “She lost her best friend. Her best friend was an organ donor. When you are an organ donor, you have to wait for them to come and retrieve your organs.”
Jennifer continued, “So you will be in the bed for sometimes days, maybe even over a week. And Milania did not leave her best friend’s side… She was in the hospital with her until they retrieved her organs. She did not leave her side, and Teresa flew to Tampa to support Milania and Victoria’s family.”
According to Jennifer, Milania spent “at least five days or more” at the hospital. A separate source told the outlet she “was there every single day around the clock.” “And that’s a lot for anybody to handle, let alone, you know, a young adult. So, she’s had a lot thrown her way,” Jennifer added.
Victoria Zardoya’s Family Celebrated Her Life With Color
Victoria died on July 26 at age 20, two days after suffering a catastrophic brain injury in a fall down steps while exploring the historic Fort Dade ruins on Florida’s Egmont Key. According to an autopsy released November 3, her death was ruled an accident caused by craniocerebral trauma, or traumatic brain injury.
Her loved ones gathered in New Jersey in mid-August for a celebration of life, which Jennifer attended. The family had a specific request for those coming to remember Victoria: skip the black clothing. Instead, Jennifer said guests were asked to wear “florals or happy colors.”
For Milania, the loss was part of a summer she later described as having “hit me like a bus.”
Jennifer Says Milania Is Taking Things Day By Day
Jennifer has remained close to Teresa, and their daughters have a friendship of their own. Her daughter Gabby is friends with Milania, making the Giudices familiar faces at family gatherings. Recently, Jennifer shared a photo of Milania after “Sunday family dinner” at her Paramus, New Jersey, home. Teresa and her husband, Luis Ruelas, also joined the evening, which Jennifer described as “low-key, relaxed, real, and fun.”
“Milania is doing great,” Jennifer told the Daily Mail. “She is just living, you know, taking it day by day, and Teresa’s just asking for prayers. But they’re all home now and they’re going to make it through.”
Jennifer also acknowledged that she had not realized the extent of Milania’s struggles. “I know Milania, she’s friends with Gabby,” she said. “She’s like a typical teenage girl, you know, beautiful, into hair and makeup, doing her fun TikToks. I was not aware that she was going through any of that.”
Teresa Giudice Is Making Time With Milania Her Priority
Teresa has been spending plenty of time with her daughter, even when that means missing an event involving longtime friends. Dolores Catania said on the “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast that Teresa missed her son Frankie Catania Jr.’s October 30 wedding vow renewal “because her and Milania are spending a lot of time together.”
Jennifer said she understands the mother-daughter duo’s need for privacy. “We’re trying to be respectful of their space, that they just want to be alone right now,” she explained. “Sometimes people just want to be alone; it doesn’t have to do with anything that has to do with me or anybody in particular.”
She continued, “It’s not that they don’t want to be with me or not with this one or not with this one, they just need to be alone together, which I love that.”
As Jennifer sees it, Teresa’s priorities have always been clear. “She’ll drop everything. She won’t care about any appearance, any shoot,” she said. “Her family and her kids come first.”
Milania Has Spoken Openly About Seeking Treatment
Milania addressed her mental health in an October 12 social media video, revealing that she was receiving treatment. “I am bipolar. I struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD and ADHD, and I am not ashamed of any of my mental health disorders because I’m currently at a treatment center,” she said.
The disclosure followed a September mental health crisis and hospitalization in Florida. Details of her current treatment schedule have not been shared.
More recently, Teresa has offered glimpses of their time together. On October 29, she posted photos with Milania at a New Jersey yoga studio. “A peaceful pause in a busy world,” she captioned the pictures.
Days later, the pair joined friends for a private dance class, with Teresa sharing another message about the people around them. “Nothing better than being surrounded by incredible women, amazing energy, and friends who feel like family.”
