Emily Ratajkowski Finalizes Divorce And Sparks New Chapter

After nearly three years of legal back-and-forth, Emily Ratajkowski is officially divorced from Sebastian Bear-McClard.

However, this isn’t just the end of a marriage but also the beginning of a fierce, liberated chapter.

From red-hot public appearances to deeply personal confessions, Ratajkowski is holding nothing back, and with whispers of a new book, she’s just getting started.

Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard are officially divorced.

According to court records obtained by the Daily Mail, a judgment was filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on July 22, making both parties legally single.

A qualified medical child support order was also submitted, though further details remain sealed due to New York’s privacy laws.

Their split dates back to July 2022, following a four-year marriage and serious allegations of infidelity against Sebastian. Ratajkowski filed for divorce in September of that year.

Although a settlement document was submitted in December 2024, the proposed judgment was initially returned for correction, which delayed its finalization until now.

While Ratajkowski has been glowing on the outside, she hasn’t shied away from revealing the emotional turmoil she endured.

Speaking on the “Going Mental Podcast” with Eileen Kelly in 2023, she admitted, “I was really, really unhappy. I was like 100 pounds, and I had just had a baby. I got really skinny because I was not okay.”

She added, “I tried to take antidepressants. I was sure there was something wrong with me.”

“I think so much of what I learned coming out of that relationship is to trust your instincts,” she reflected.

Ratakowski, now 34, filed for divorce at age 31 and now co-parents their 4-year-old son, Sylvester Apollo Bear.

Though the toddler reportedly lives with the model full-time, he sees his father several times a week.

Ratajkowski frequently shares glimpses of their life together on social media, showing Sylvester traveling the world by her side.

Ratajkowski isn’t just surviving her divorce, but she may be planning to write the definitive guide on it.

In a 2023 interview with Vogue Australia, she hinted at writing a book on early divorce, aiming to challenge the stigma.

“I can’t believe there aren’t more books about first marriages failing,” she said. “I’ve read a lot of literature about divorce, but it tends to be about families ending after children have grown up.”

She emphasized the shifting dynamics of modern relationships, particularly for women.

“Our world has changed so much because women are making, if not the same amount of pay, more money than their partners. And then also carrying the burden of the emotional and physical responsibilities, the labour at home,” she noted.

While Emily Ratajkowski is reclaiming her independence, Sebastian Bear-McClard has faded from public view, likely due to serious allegations of sexual misconduct involving two teenage girls.

The accusations include claims that he groomed them via Instagram before engaging in inappropriate conduct.

Meanwhile, Ratajkowski has re-entered the dating scene with no signs of slowing down.

She was first linked to comedian Eric Andre in January 2023, then made headlines for a spontaneous kiss with Harry Styles in Tokyo just two months later.

At the time, she revealed on a podcast that she had secretly been dating Styles and even hinted he may be “the one.”

After Styles, Ratajkowski was romantically connected to DJ Orazio Rispo, French actor Stephane Bak, and country-rap star Shaboozey.
