Shortly after learning that Sean “Diddy” Combs had been sentenced to 50 months in federal prison, his former employee Aubrey O’Day issued a statement, saying the outcome should serve as a “cautionary reminder” to young people.

O’Day worked with Diddy in the early 2000s on his reality show, “Making the Band,” and as the lead singer of the girl group Danity Kane.

The 41-year-old has been vocal about her disdain for the disgraced rap mogul in the past, and following his sentencing on two prostitution charges, she released a lengthy statement.

“Let this serve as a cautionary reminder to young and aspiring individuals pursuing their dreams,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “The true warning is not that a jury may doubt your testimony, nor that a court’s sentencing guidelines may fail to reflect the years of suffering you endured.”

O’Day continued, “The real warning is: the moment someone in a position of power oversteps your boundaries or demands more than is legitimately required of you, walk away and do not look back.”

And that wasn’t all the “Showstopper” singer had to say. O’Day continued by urging others to “protect” themselves once they notice things aren’t right.

“If something feels wrong, trust your instinct and remove yourself from the situation,” she added. “Your well-being is worth more than any opportunity.”

O’Day’s statement about Diddy’s prison sentence isn’t the first time she has slammed the Bad Boy Records founder. According to a previous report from The Blast, O’Day questioned Diddy for allowing his 18-year-old children to be present in the courtroom during his trial.

Previous reports detail the harrowing testimony that came from victims, including Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, a Jane Doe, and a male escort.

“The fact that the kids are marching up to that court, praying over everything, and walking in with a bunch of women also that are encouraging it,” O’Day said. “I don’t know any father that would want their children to sit through testimony about how much their daddy liked to watch people [get] lubricated, f-cking, getting pissed on and urinated in their mouths, having his girlfriend come in the other room and rub their c-m all over his nipples.”

O’Day went even further, calling Diddy’s behavior “concerning to me” before saying she believed his children were only there to help his public image.

Before Diddy was officially sentenced to four years in federal prison, his children spoke before the judge and asked him to give their father a second chance. The Blast previously reported on the news, detailing one of his sons, Justin Combs, describing his father as “my superhero.” Justin also claimed his father “still has so much more to give to the world” and to his family.

Justin’s brother, Quincy Brown, also spoke in support of his father, saying he had learned a “major lesson.”

“Week after week, we’ve seen him evolve, something we haven’t seen in 15 years. He’s completely transformed,” he said, adding, “Our father will never do anything to jeopardize his freedom, and as his children, we want to thank you. We only wish to heal together.”

This follows a joint statement issued by Diddy’s children in September 2024, in which they called the initial rumors about their father and family “hurtful.”

“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives,” they wrote. “Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace.”

Users React To Diddy’s Children’s Statements

The reaction to the recent pleas from Diddy’s children was not met with much public sympathy, as many social media users mocked their emotional statements.

“Send Diddy whole family to prison [so] they can all be in there together since they value his presence so much,” someone wrote.

Another user shared a similar stance, writing, “Diddy’s weak a-s kids crying about him getting four years in prison when he SHOULD be getting the electric chair.”

A third user wrote, “You know what, Diddy’s kids love him so much, let’s put them all in adjoining cells together.”
