    Re: “How many lives is Gas Works Park structure worth?” (Nov. 10, Opinion):

    I agree the number of deaths due to falling from the structure is a tragedy. But I don’t agree that stripping off all the stairs and ladders is the only solution. The weakness is the ugly, dilapidated chain-link fence enclosure.

    Why not replace it with a big, beautiful, impenetrable wall? Leave the historic structure alone. Let’s have a call for artists. An art wall could make it safe and lovely.
