Gisele Bündchen Allegedly ‘Felt Like She Lived In Tom Brady’s Shadow’

The supermodel and her Jiu-Jitsu instructor boyfriend recently welcomed their first child together, but Bündchen has wasted no time showing off how little her body has changed.

Tom Brady is also said to be struggling to date as he moves on from the “sting” of Gisele Bündchen’s pregnancy.

Bündchen has wholeheartedly embraced her new romance with Joaquim Valente after her separation from NFL star Tom Brady.

Bündchen and Brady got married in February 2009 before divorcing in 2022, after which she began her romance with Valente.

A source has now told Page Six that the supermodel feels “freer” since she started dating the Jiu-Jitsu instructor and is “absolutely loving this new chapter” after feeling overshadowed by the NFL legend.

She “felt like she lived in Tom [Brady’s] shadow for a long time,” the insider told the news outlet.

Bündchen is, however, “grateful for what she had” with the former New England Patriots quarterback and feels “blessed” for their two children, son Benjamin and daughter Vivian.

Bündchen and her trainer boyfriend recently welcomed their first child together, with a source telling People Magazine that the child is a baby boy with the middle name River.

News of the supermodel’s pregnancy broke several months ago, but they decided to wait until birth to find out if they were having a girl or boy.

Since giving birth, Bündchen has wasted no time showing off her stunning post-baby figure.

According to the Daily Mail, she and Valente enjoyed a boat ride in Miami, Florida, earlier this week, where she donned a grey bikini top.

She looked stunning and relaxed on the boat as she shared a kiss with Valente. Bündchen’s trimmed waist caught attention as she rocked white bikini bottoms before slipping on grey lycra shorts.

Bündchen was first linked to Valente in June 2023, a year after her divorce from Brady.

Back in January, a source told People that the former Victoria’s Secret angel is “truly thriving” in her relationship with Valente.

The couple were understood to be opting for a home birth, although it remains unclear if they eventually pushed through with the plans.

The insider said Bündchen is the “happiest she’s ever been,” especially as she waited to give birth to her first child with Valente.

“Gisele’s doing great,” the source said. “She seems the happiest she’s ever been. She’s truly thriving.”

Meanwhile, a source recently told the Daily Mail that Brady has been struggling to date as he moves on from the “sting” of Bündchen’s romance with Valente.

Last year, when news of her pregnancy first dropped, the sports star was said to be “shocked” by the reports as he never imagined they’d be having a child together even though he knew things were serious between them.

Bündchen reportedly broke the news to him herself shortly after telling their kids, as she wanted him to hear it from her rather than the media.

“Tom would love to date more, but he is busy and very focused on his first year of being a commentator. It is easier to be single right now,” a source said.

They continued, “At first, everything stings. Her getting pregnant, her hanging out with Joaquim, her moving on. But then he snaps out of it and remains busy, knows that his life is pretty good and to worry about things he can’t control is a waste of time.”

The insider added, “He could complain but what’s the point. He got the best out of the relationship with Gisele until it fell apart, now it’s not his problem anymore. He will be fine.”

The former Victoria’s Secret angel defended herself against allegations that she cheated on Brady with Valente.

After news of her relationship with the Jiu-Jitsu instructor made headlines, several reports claimed that their romance may have begun while she was still married to the athlete.

In an interview with the New York Times, Bündchen said that the allegations were “lies,” noting that the cheating label is always placed on women who dare to leave an unhealthy marriage.

“That’s a lie,” she said. “This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful.”

“They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family,” she continued. “Of course, for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”

Bündchen added, “No one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship.”
