Immigrants: Grateful for contributions | The Seattle Times

I have been volunteering at Seattle blood drives for several years, registering donors. I am sometimes asked to mentor new volunteers, who are uniformly enthusiastic, quick learners. I recently realized there are hardly any who are native-born citizens like myself. Almost all first-generation immigrants.

Why on earth is the current administration giving people like this a hard time? I’m so grateful for them.

    Ginny Bear, Seattle
