Jennifer Lopez And Jennifer Garner Are Reportedly Still ‘Friends’

Lopez was said to be “furious” after cozy photos of Garner and Affleck surfaced, but an insider claims that is not the situation, and the two of them still talk.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had earlier sparked rumors that they may be reuniting after spending so much time together following his divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

There’s reportedly no bad blood between Lopez and Garner amid reports of the latter’s growing closeness with Affleck.

Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in 2022 but ended their relationship after the “Maid In Manhattan” star filed for divorce last August.

Their divorce was only finalized in February, but the actor has been spending time with Garner and even sparked rumors that they may be on the mend.

Speculations were rife that the situation may have seemingly upset Lopez; however, an insider told People Magazine that she’s still “friends” with Garner and the both of them have found ways to stay in touch with each other.

“Jennifer Garner reaches out to Jennifer Lopez about her kids. Jennifer Lopez reaches out to Jennifer Garner about her kids. They’re friends,” the source said. “They have really found a great female support system and communicate.”

This comes after a source said Lopez was “furious” after seeing photos of Garner and Affleck getting cozy with each other while celebrating their son Fin’s 13th birthday.

According to Page Six, a source claimed that the “Hustlers” actress was “not happy with constantly seeing photos” of Affleck and Garner, who were married between 2005 to 2018 and share three children together.

The insider told the news outlet that the photos of them sharing a hug have been like “salt in the wound” to Lopez, adding that she’s not only “furious,” but also the situation is “completely messing with her head.”

However, another source maintained that Lopez hasn’t been paying attention to their recent closeness, explaining that she’s focused on her upcoming Netflix movie, “Office Romance.”

“I doubt she has even seen these stories as she is consumed with the film,” the insider shared. “She has been fully concentrating on her life, her growth, and her happiness.”

In January, an insider weighed in on Lopez’s divorce from Affleck, suggesting that Garner could have unconsciously played a part.

Although Garner adopted the role of an informal mediator between them, insiders say there seemingly was tension between both ladies as the singer “felt threatened” by Garner all through her marriage with Affleck.

“J.Lo felt threatened by Jen Garner for almost all of her marriage,” an insider told OK! Magazine. “The way Ben would run to her for advice any time they had a fight drove her crazy.”

The insider went on to tell the news outlet that Affleck likes “spending time with Jen and their kids” as it is “much more comfortable than trying to do the blended family thing.”

“He’s so at ease with her, there’s no tension, no pressure, he can totally be himself,” the source added.

Lopez was recently spotted hanging out with her “Office Romance” co-star Brett Goldstein. The pair were seen together backstage on Sunday with the cast of the Broadway play “Oh, Mary!”

The singer wore a cream-colored blazer with her highlighted hair partially up as she smiled for the camera next to Meryl Streep and Martin Short.

Meanwhile, Goldstein kept things cool in dark colors. They were at the play to support their co-star, Betty Gilpin.

Lopez is reportedly excited to work with Goldstein on the new project. The 44-year-old actor has previously confessed his crush for her, even saying he “loves” her, which is why he chose her to star in the film.

According to the Daily Mail, Lopez and Goldstein’s working relationship could spark jealousy in the singer’s ex-husband, Affleck.

“After a very tough start to 2025, Jennifer can’t wait to start a new project and it certainly helps that she will be working with a very handsome and smart star like Brett,” a source told the news outlet.

“He is one hot ticket and a real class act with talent to back it up – he not only acts but he writes amazing scripts. He is like the younger, better, British version of Ben. She thinks he is very cute,” they continued.

“It will be a reminder to Ben that she is still hot property in Hollywood and how can that not make her feel great?” the source shared. “She is 55 and is still a box office dynamo. This will just be another reminder of that.”

“Ben knows who Brett is, he is plenty aware. Brett is younger and smarter than Ben. It will irk him for sure,” the source said.
