Kyle Richards‘ estranged husband’s father, Eduardo Umansky, will appear before the court to plead his case after his former partner accused him of physical assault.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star’s estranged husband’s father will tell his side of the story before the court to determine whether he is guilty of the allegations.

Kyle Richards’ father-in-law Eduardo Umansky and his former partner Simin Tabibnia were in a romantic relationship for 18 years before things turned sour.

Kyle Richards’ Estranged Husband’s Father Will Appear In Court in Late January

Eduardo was served a subpoena to answer some questions in the case involving allegations of domestic violence from his former romantic partner. Court documents reveal that Simin requested his appearance at an upcoming court hearing, as both face allegations of abuse.

A hearing has been scheduled for later this month. Simin accused the older Umansky of abusing her physically, verbally, and emotionally while they dated for nearly two decades.

In Touch shared the 81-year-old’s family claimed his former girlfriend was the actual aggressor during the course of the relationship between them.

Last year, Mauricio, aged 54, and his sister, Sharon Umansky Benton, sought to place Eduardo under a conservatorship. They accused Simin of keeping him from his family and exploiting him.

Mauricio Umansky’s Sister Was Granted A Permanent Restraining Order Against Her Father’s Ex

The court designated Mauricio and Sharon as joint conservators for Eduardo’s estate. Sharon then submitted a restraining order against Simin, alleging that her father’s ex-partner had been physical with her.

Simin refuted the allegations and submitted her own request for a restraining order against Sharon. Ultimately, The Blast reported that the judge issued a permanent restraining order in favor of Sharon.

Sharon then submitted a petition for a restraining order on behalf of Eduardo against Simin. The petition alleged that Simin had been “verbally, physically, and financially” abusive towards Eduardo for many years.

Sharon stated that the first indications of threats and abuse appeared roughly 10 years ago, but it was challenging to grasp what was occurring fully. It was around August or September 2022 that the situation began to intensify.

After Sharon tendered a reasonable argument in court, Eduardo eventually won a temporary restraining order against his former partner.

Eduardo Umansky’s Ex Shared She Was Scared Of The 81-Year-Old

Simin returned the favor by submitting a petition for an “elder dependent adult abuse restraining order.” She described Eduardo as her former boyfriend while urging the court to mandate that he remain at least 100 yards away from her.

Simin added that Eduardo mistreated her on December 4, 2024. “I am afraid of [Eduardo],” she began, adding that she was in an 18-year relationship with the 81-year-old, during which she endured a series of abuse.

She claimed Eduardo has “physically abused me on multiple occasions, resulting in injuries.” He also allegedly hit her in the face and arms, kicked her in the legs, pushed her down, and choked her.

Simin included photographs of her purported injuries in her petition as proof and stated that the events have caused me not just physical harm but also emotional distress.

Simin Tabibnia Slammed Eduardo’s Relationship With His Daughter, Sharon

Simin observed in her filing that Eduardo’s mood goes sour any time he speaks with Sharon on the phone. Simin stated that she is the primary target of his aggressions, along with a range of abusive behaviors he has shown previously.

According to her, Eduardo “has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using demeaning and profane language toward me in public and in front of others. He has repeatedly told me to ‘shut the f— up,’ among other degrading remarks.”

Simin argued in her petition that she hoped her former partner would outgrow his abusive ways after Sharon filed a separate “elder abuse” restraining order against her on behalf of Eduardo in October 2024.

Like father, like son. Mauricio also got his hands full after being dragged to court by Relator LLC as 2024 wrapped up. The document unsealed by the court in August 2024 showed that the company initially filed the petition in July 2023.

The filing alleged that Umansky, along with his business partner William “Billy” Rose and their real estate firm, The Agency, conspired to misappropriate loans intended for struggling businesses.

“This is a case about greed during a national health emergency,” Relator LLC stated in the petition. They clarified that Mauricio submitted applications for two Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act loans through his real estate firm, The Agency, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Relator LLC emphasized that the loan programs were not designed to support or maintain a company’s profits that had enough resources to compensate its employees.

It clarified that the financial assistance initiative was, in fact, created to preserve the jobs of workers employed by businesses that were unable to afford their wages.

The plot continues to thicken in Eduardo Umansky and Simin Tabibnia’s legal tussle!
