Re: “DOJ charges N.C. man in killing aboard train” (Sept. 10, Nation & World):
Once again, we read of an innocent person being killed. And once again, we hear a distraught parent saying she had been desperately seeking help for her mentally ill son.
Families all too often are left on their own to cope with crises that are beyond their ability to handle. When we talk about “parents’ rights,” let’s talk about parents’ rights to get the support they need before their worst fears come true.
