Concerns have grown over Hollywood star Nicole Kidman adding more work to her already busy schedule.

According to a report, the actress might soon suffer burnout if she keeps up this pace without taking a break.

Some in her close circle also claimed that Nicole Kidman threw herself into so much work to help deal with the grief of losing her mother.

Taking on a new project is often seen as a blessing, but for Kidman, it has only fuelled concerns within her close circle.

The 57-year-old recently added a new crime series, “Scarpetta,” to her schedule but was already involved in four other projects across different genres.

According to reports, these commitments have made her close circle fear that she could suffer “burnout,” as it would require her to give far more of her time. They also seem worried that it has been an unhealthy way of dealing with the loss of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman.

“Nicole is still looking as amazing as always, but she’s been through so much,” a source told Woman’s Day Magazine about the actress, whose mother died in September.

“She seems to be dealing with her grief by throwing herself into work,” the source added, per the Daily Mail. “There are times when she sleeps on a plane more than a bed. Everyone’s worried about her.”

Sources also say Kidman’s close circle fears that the new project will require her to tap into “dark places” to embody the character fully. They worry it could push the actress further toward burnout despite her assurances that she’s handling everything well.

“Nicole insists she is perfectly fine, but her schedule is non-stop. There’s a lot of expectation to pull herself off Scarpetta,” said the insider. “It’s a grizzly crime drama, and she’ll be going to some dark places.”

The new six-part series will see Kidman star as Kay Scarpetta, a brilliant forensic pathologist who uses forensic technology to solve crime mysteries in different settings.

Filming of the project has already begun and is expected to last until February 2025. The actress will star alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana Debose and also executive produce the project.

Nicole Kidman’s ‘Baby Girl’ Role Left Her Feeling ‘Ragged’

Kidman had previously starred in “Baby Girl,” a film in which she took on a sex-filled role. In an interview, she revealed that the sensual scenes left her feeling “ragged” because they were “very confronting” for her.

“At some point, I was like, I don’t want to be touched. I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time, I was compelled to do it,” the actress revealed during an interview with Vanity Fair in August.

“Halina would hold me, and I would hold her because it was just very confronting to me,” Kidman added, referencing the female director’s role of helping her be at her best.

The actress also mentioned during the conversation that she had yet to fully adjust to the reality that her sensual scenes were now in full public view.

She added, “This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world. I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human being.”

Kidman has since revealed that she was so “turned on” while performing sexual scenes in “Babygirl” that she had to take a break from filming.

According to Kidman, shooting the scenes with actors Harris Dickinson and her other co-star, Antonio Banderas, who plays her husband in the film, sometimes became intense.

“There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm anymore,'” she told The Sun.

Kidman further noted that she would sometimes say, “Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it.”

“It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burn,” the actress added.

Kidman also shared her perspective on how audiences should view the film. She mentioned that it should be viewed as a “liberating story” rather than simply another erotic thriller.

“This is one woman’s story, and this is, I hope, a very liberating story,” Kidman shared, “It’s told by a woman through her gaze … and that’s what, to me, made it so unique, was that suddenly I was gonna be in the hands of a woman with this material.”

In “Baby Girl,” Kidman starred as Romy, a powerful CEO who starts a romantic relationship with an intern named Samuel, played by Dickinson.

It is set for a cinematic release in December but has already been screened at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on August 30, 2024.
