Why Keanu Reeves Has Been Branded The ‘Worst’ Talk Show Guest

A veteran TV personality has branded Hollywood favorite Keanu Reeves as the worst talk show guest they have ever encountered.

The remark was made by Rosie O’Donnell during her appearance on “Sam Pang Tonight,” though she also spoke fondly of the actor in other respects.

The comments come just days after Keanu Reeves and his longtime partner, artist Alexandra Grant, graced the red carpet for the premiere of his latest film.

Reeves’ on-screen charm doesn’t always translate to talk show appearances, according to veteran TV personality Rosie O’Donnell.

Speaking on a recent episode of “Sam Pang Tonight,” she labeled the actor as the “worst” guest she had ever interviewed during her time hosting her eponymous show from 1996 to 2002.

“I love the guy, but he’s not good on talk shows. Keanu Reeves,” O’Donnell about the famous actor.

O’Donnell went on to reflect on her interview with Reeves, recalling how he gave short answers that didn’t make for good TV.

“He’s so sweet. He looks gorgeous. I love all his movies, but he would not answer a question,” the 63-year-old recalled. “I’d say, ‘So, Keanu, how’s it going? How you feeling?’ [He’d say] ‘Good.'”

She added, “And finally, after like eight minutes, we were live. We didn’t, couldn’t retape. I finally said, after like three minutes, ‘Keanu, it is a talk show. You have to talk.’ But he did come back, and he got the hang of it.”

Days ago, Reeves hit the red carpet with his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, for the screening of Good Fortune, his latest film in a long line of successful projects that continue to showcase his versatility and enduring appeal in Hollywood.

Reeves looked sharp in a brown striped suit paired with a black tie and tan shoes. Grant complemented his look beautifully in a chic navy-blue gown adorned with a pearl-detailed neckline.

Grant also added to her ensemble with a matching clutch and a stack of bangles on one wrist.

On the red carpet, the duo also gave fans a glimpse of their love by packing on the PDA with a sweet lip kiss before heading in for the screening.

The duo had previously graced the red carpet for the opening night of Reeves’ Broadway debut in the production of” Waiting for Godot.”

At the time, they also showed affection for each other by holding hands as they posed for pictures on the red carpet.

Despite these loving moments, Reeves and Grant have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye.

They have been linked since 2011, but only went public with their romance in 2019 when they appeared holding hands on the red carpet at the LACMA Art + Film Gala.

Of their relationship, a source shared last year that it was the “most fun and positive relationship” Reeves has ever been part of.

“She is adorable, sweet, caring, and funny. She has her own life and career but is also very supportive of Keanu’s,” the source told People Magazine at the time. “When he films on location, she travels with him. When he films locally, she often visits the set.”
