Britney Spears is reportedly showing no sympathy for her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, as he deals with financial troubles, which she believes is “karma” for the years he supposedly leeched off her.

According to recent reports, Federline is currently being sued for over $117,000 in credit card debt after he reportedly opened a credit card, a personal line of credit, and an overdraft line with City National Bank in 2024.

Britney Spears’ alleged lack of sympathy for her ex-husband comes after years of conflict between the pair, with Kevin Federline’s 2025 memoir further straining their post-divorce relationship.

According to a report, Spears appears to be glad Federline is facing trouble, and the pop star supposedly regards his situation as “Karma” for what he put her through.

“Britney paid his bills the past 20 years,” a source told Star Magazine. “He’s sucked millions off of her, and the minute the gravy train stopped, he wrote that horrible book about her.”

“He’s been nothing but a total vulture. You better believe she’s angry,” the insider added about the singer.

They also noted that Federline had “done real damage” to her relationship with her two sons, Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline.

Spears reportedly believes that her former husband tried to sabotage her connection to her children and attempted to turn them against her for more child support money.

According to the Star insider, his actions have now left her feeling “happy” for Federline’s money woes.

“Of course she’s happy to see him getting some payback,” the source said.

They added that Federline “loves to act like he’s the father of the year” but can’t seem to pay his bills without Spears’ child support payment, which she supposedly sees as proof that “it was always about her money.”

For the singer, Federline “deserves a taste of karma,” and she is pleased not to have to give him a share of her money anymore.

Federline’s financial situation was brought to attention when People Magazine reported that he owed City National $117,704.77 across three accounts.

Court documents obtained by the magazine revealed that Federline opened an account with the bank around the time he stopped receiving child support from Spears.

The 48-year-old dancer’s personal line of credit and his overdraft line were due in June 2025 and April 2025, respectively, and the bank ordered him to pay off his credit card debt by August.

The publication reported that City National, in its suit, is asking for unpaid interest on all three accounts and that Federline last submitted a payment in May 2025.

He reportedly opened the account in December 2024, a month after Spears made her final child support payment in accordance with California law.

Federline’s 2025 memoir, “You Thought You Knew,” released in October 2025, added to the conflict between the couple.

In his book, Federline detailed their two-year marriage, which ended in 2007, and claimed that she exhibited concerning behavior in front of their children.

According to The Guardian, Federline alleged that Spears used cocaine while breastfeeding, and he reportedly heard from his sons that she would sometimes stand in the doorway of her kids’ room, watching them with a knife in hand.

The former backup dancer said in the book that his situation with the “Toxic” singer feels like it is “racing toward something irreversible” and that he fears something bad is going to happen and that Jayden and Sean would be left “holding the pieces.”

In a statement on social media, Spears responded to the allegations and her ex-husband’s depiction of her, saying, “The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting.”

A representative for Spears said at the time that Federline was “profiting off her” after child support with him had ended.

“Once again he and others are profiting off her, and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the rep said. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism.”

In her social media post, she called Federline’s allegations in his memoir “white lies” and said that she was “demoralized” by the situation.
